My sister and I just hiked to the tower from the campsite today. The trail looks to be in a lot better condition in your pictures than it was on our hike; however, that is after all the rain we got from Tropical Storm Lee. I’m looking forward to going back when the leaves turn color and it’s not so hazy.

Thanks so much for the detail, history and pictures of the Tower walk. Knowing about
the short and long walks is a great help. We had to skip the walk 2 years ago when it was raining when we were in the area. Have to make it this year.
